Been Thinkin About “Defiance.”
Have you ever seen a defiant child? Teen? Adult? Of course you’re thinkin of them right now.
Have you ever said, “If that was my______ I would _____?”
Has it ever been your ______, and their defiance was so strong or rebellious that it shocked you? I also know for some of you that it’s not a person but an “it.” (Habit, relationship, a dread, a darkness, or an addiction.)
Defiance is a word we don’t use much but it’s rebellion, daring, it’s in your face. If you got that kind of a problem you could have a giant on your hands.
In our David and Goliath story your have two armies on big battlefield, dressed for battle and all of a sudden this HUGE man comes out screaming that he can easily stop the war. He says just pick your best warrior to fight him and the winner gets the spoils. He does this EVERY morning early , for days. That’s what Israel got. That’s defiance! (1Samuel 17:10)
No matter What you say to “it,” or what you do—-that problem defies a solution. You got a giant.
For many, could it be that you have stared at your giant for soo long that you have come to terms with it/him/her/them? “I know I have to live with it, it just drains me, I’ve done my best but it just defies me.”
I do know how that goes and I know the pain and frustration of a giant. Defiance is a symptom of a giant.
As I have been talking to you the last few days I see by the thousand’s that many of you are identifying giants. Others not so much, you think it’s a giant and it is really YOU. You keep shaking hands with stupid every time he comes around. Then you Do stupid. Then you Blame stupid!#*😳😳 You could be your giant.
Let me pause our serious conversation with hope. The giant is in our story,Big, and we will continue to look at that problem because that is part of the solution. But the permanent solution is in our David verses Goliath story also. Yes I did type Permanent. Got to go to PT, see ya soon.
You know to share if you like, on Facebook you can write what you want or click the picture thingies. On the blog you can do it all.
